Announcing MLT 2027!
For the 13th year, there will be an ambitious tango event in Umeå, Northern Sweden, offering more than a total of 30 hours of Argentine tango. The event takes place during the brightest season of the year in this northern hemisphere, the weekend after the Swedish celebration of Midsummer when there is light all around the clock. Come and enjoy this magic midnight light with us!
MLT is a popular tango event. In the year 2026 150 dancers from many countries participated. The event 2026 was fully booked in short time.

Location and programme
This year we hope to have a centrally located in Umeå, Folkets Hus. The place is a central meeting place for culture and events in Umeå. We estimate the capacity for 150 dancers and we believe the atmosphere suits the Midnight Light Tango event perfectly. Address: Skolgatan 59, 903 29 Umeå. All happenings will take place in the Umeå Folkets Hus.

- Thursday July 1: Welcome Milonga, 19.00 – 23.00.
- Friday July 2, Afternoon Milonga, 12.00 – 16.00.
- Friday July 2, Evening Milonga, 20.00 – 01.00.
- Saturday July 3, Afternoon Milonga, 12.00 – 16.00.
- Saturday July 3, Festival Dinner, 18.00 – 20.00.
- Saturday July 3, Evening Milonga, 20.00 – 01.00.
- Early Sunday July 3, Midnight Milonga, 01.20 – 03.00.
Location Gammlia. It is outside and hopefully in good weather. Dance and witness the early sunrise. - Sunday July 4, Afternoon Milonga, 12.00 – 16.00.

Midnight Light Tango 2026 is a high standard Tango Festival and welcomes experienced tango dancers. We hope that this 12th year event will be a formidable one, exceeding all the great expectations based on the previous ones. You can expect:

- The best music from national and international well-known DJs.
