Announcing MLT 2026!
For the 12th year, there will be an ambitious tango event in Umeå, Northern Sweden, offering more than a total of 30 hours of Argentine tango. The event takes place during the brightest season of the year in this northern hemisphere, the weekend after the Swedish celebration of Midsummer when there is light all around the clock. Come and enjoy this magic midnight light with us!
MLT is a popular tango event. In the year 2025 150 dancers from many countries participated. The event 2025 was fully booked in short time.

Location and programme
This year we have a centrally located in Umeå Folkets Hus. The place is a central meeting place for culture and events in Umeå. We estimate the capacity for 140 dancers and we believe the atmosphere suits the Midnight Light Tango event perfectly. Address: Skolgatan 59, 903 29 Umeå. All happenings will take place in the Umeå Folkets Hus.

Midnight Light Tango 2026 is a high standard Tango Festival and welcomes experienced tango dancers. We hope that this 12th year event will be a formidable one, exceeding all the great expectations based on the previous ones. You can expect:
- Four days and nights of milongas.
- The best music from national and international well-known DJs.
- Spectacular midnight light for high energy level throughout the milongas.
- Your price for all milongas – an MLT Milonga Pass – is SEK 1100. An Early Bird price will be SEK 1000 SEK, if booked until Tuesday April 30th at the latest.
- We will only offer Milonga Pass.
- We will offer a gala dinner on Saturday evening.
- Further details will be found in the registration form.
- Astrid, Barcelona Tango Showroom, will sell clothes and shoes.
- Second hand flea market on sunday in the café room.
